Walking in Your Calling

Ephesians 4:4-6,11-12,

Three Types of Calling Found in Scripture

  1. 1. There is a calling to hope, a calling to be reconciled to God (v.4-6).
  2. 2. There is a universal calling to all believers (saints)
  3. – to the work of ministry (11-12),
  4. – to the ministry of reconciliation (2 Corinthians 5:17-18).
  5. 3. There is a unique call on some to serve as ministry leadership in the body of Christ.

How to make “calling out the called” a priority.

  1. 1. Pray.
  2. 2. Extend invitations to answer a call to ministry leadership.
  3. 3. Share testimonies of callings to ministry leadership.
  4. 4. Provide opportunities for ministry leadership.
  5. 5. Train leaders to look for leaders that God is calling to serve as ministry leaders.
  6. 6. Help people who respond to God’s unique call walk deeply with Jesus.

A unique calling to ministry leadership is a calling to servanthood.

A unique calling to ministry leadership is a calling to the “long haul.”
